Dear Doug and Laurie-
The Northern Tier Network Consortium (NTNC) is belatedly responding
to your formal offer to have Internet2 support our early efforts. You
sent us a letter on August 26, 2003 indicating the kind of support you would
provide us as an Internet2 project. We are writing to accept this offer. We
are pleased to be affiliated with Internet2, have appreciated your support
to date, and we look forward to your continuing support during the coming
year.
At our last meeting we appointed an executive committee composed of a member
from each of our states. Bonnie and I have been elected co-chair and
chair of that executive committee. Ray Ford of the University of Montana
was elected secretary. We will be sending out invitations to all interested
folks in our “territory” inviting them to contribute their $1000.00
for formal membership before the end of February. At that point, we
will be looking to take more advantage of some of the formal services that
you have included in your offer. Can we formally start the agreement
on March 1, 2004?
We have appreciated your participation with us to date. We know you
want to see our network happen and we look forward to working with you to
